Have you ever felt something so real, so true and so fantastically important that no matter what any body has said or can say could not shake, couldn't even touch what you believed about it? You see it in movies all the time, when everybody thinks the protagonist is crazy or foolish, and they can't seem to convince even their loved ones about this awesome news. Until at the end; when they can see it for themselves. Even through all the voices, the negativity, the obstacles, good always conquers evil.
But, the thing is, we are not at the end of this story yet. There are so many lies out there, it's so easy to get lost; sign posts in every direction, voices yelling and screaming, near and far, dragging you this way and that. So when you invite a friend into a life of ultimate freedom and true love, and tell them that they have to give up all that they cannot keep to gain what they can never lose, people are more comfortable in their controlled, oppressed world, and don't take that leap of faith. This is war. We are at war with the devil; all the voices, all the lies and deceit. But God will be victorious, and I'm sure as hell gonna follow him.
I long for a generation to give up all the things that the world has put a high price value on and gain what is truly priceless. I long for my generation to know the creator of the universe and how much he loves and adores them. I long for my generation to know their full WORTH and PURPOSE in Jesus Christ.
Yes, like in any story, there will be many who will never believe. But I LONG for the truth to be known.
